new (to me) drum sander now a few questions - 4 replies Just bought a 16/32 Performax Drum sander (now bought and sold under the Jet name). I am looking for a canadian supplier of the sanding strips that this tool needs. I have down loaded the manual and will stert trying to tweak the machine and get it set up. Looks like I may need to order a new feed belt . Any one out there using this machin... |

help in transfering plans - 10 replies I have bought a new book with several plans in it that I would like to use. The book has templates in it for the componets and it suggests transfering the plans and then blowing them up on a photocoper to the correct size. My questions are how would I get this transfered by photocopier . I don’t want to cut the pages out of the book but... |

a question about loose tenons - 12 replies I am in the process of building the blanket chest on the cover of the last FW. In the plans the woodworker uses loose tenons as a means of joinery. I am doing the same (my first time doing these) its going well , but I am wondering if biscuits might have been a better option, less setup, and from what I have read just as or maybe even a stronger... |

oversize round bench dogs (or how I messed up my new not yet finished workbench) - 11 replies I am in the last stages of building a new workbench( see projects). Today i discovered I had drilled some of the holes at 7/8” and some at as required in the plans 3/4” After some unmanly like language my question is what to do??? I cannot redrill and the brass dogs only come in 3/4” as far as I know. Ideas????? ... |
