Since I decided to take up woodworking, I’ve been hunting Craigs list and local classifieds for equipment. On Thursday, I picked up my first saw, a Delta 40-450 Scroll Saw. I picked it up because it was new and a whopping $25. It was only missing a few parts, which I found out were just bolts that I can pick up at the local hardware store.

I’m still hunting for a table saw, so I can actually begin to work on some basic projects, but I still have to make lots of room in my garage. That looks like it will be this week’s project.

Good luck! Let us know how the shop progression goes!

Craigslist is a good way to get your feet wet. Lots of people have quality tools sitting unused in their garages.
