I am pretty psyched how this is coming along. This week I started shaping the base. I used a band saw with 76 degree bevel and used a belt sander with table angled at the same bevel to clean the edge. Scribing the line an inch inside the oval for spindle placement, took more time expected. This week I will scoop out the center and contour the edges.
