Hello friends, just wanted to share some information. I just bought a pair of super heavy duty flange mount bearings from Grainger (www.grainger.com) their model # 4PY37 was listed at 82.50 per flange. I bought a pair @ $12.06 each….. unbelievable closeout buy…( here comes Snappy Ass Tool Co. Lathe model #2 ) Just thought I’d share the info.

Too Late!! They took their ball and went home! Dang good tip though. I was at Ace Hardware last weekend and they had pillow blocks marked down to $2 each, I bought ‘em out- my wife cringed- couldn’t tell you why. ;)

Sounds like a great economical start on a wonderful project that should give you lots of fun in the shop
both building and using. Will not bother you with any silly questions about blueprints and power sources,
but with an 1-1/4” shaft, it should be nice sized. Please keep us posted.
