I'm 67 and have been carving, sculpting, turning, building, and designing with wood seriously since I came home from the Army (1970). I designed and built a bowl turning lathe in the early 1980's and kept myself busy with it for too long. It was the first edition of several power tools built under the name of the "Snappy-Ass" tool co. I enjoy lumberjocks site and making friends here that I can share tricks and secrets with that I've picked up over the years...It is fulfilling and a learning process as well. Update ....I am 71 now and have had to build the Snappy-Ass Tool Co. Lathe #2 out of necessity called the "Red Ryder" an explanation for the name will be forthcoming. Hopefully so will some new work....I've been remodeling the house and building screened in porches etc for far too long....
