Any ideas on manufacture?

I’m in the process of inventorying all the old tools I used to display on “Ethel” for shows and this one has me stumped. I know it’s obviously a brace/handle for auger bits and it’s a right angle version but any ideas who the manufacture might be?

I’m taking them to auction in a while and need to be able to sound a little knowledgeable of all of them. So far I’ve made tags and descriptions as well as who the manufacture and what the price was during the era the tool was made. My collection of treadle saws are going too since I no longer show them at car shows either. Should make lot of room for the grandkids to fill up with stuff when it’s all gone. LOL

It’s been over a yea and I still miss “Ethel” but it needed to go to someone who could drive it and take it to shows. I couldn’t drive it or enjoy it anymore with the spine being in a bad way. I understand it’s made it’s way to Switzerland in the last 6-8 months. Cool!!

Anyway back to the original reason for the post. Any ideas on who may have made this would be appreciated.

I know who patented it and who produced it. If I tell you will you give me one of those pretty treadle saws?

Well at least let me know when the auction is so I can stand in back and dream about owning a foot-powered saw.

The brace is a Goodell-Pratt #215 Universal Corner Brace. If there’s no paint, only plating, then it’s an earlier version.

My father had a great many hand tools from the Goodell brothers. One of my brothers has them now. Though I do have a one of their pump screwdrivers. Just Joe is correct and I saw one at an estate sale a couple years ago sell for $175.00

Once you put the manufacture to it, I found it in my Goodell Pratt #16 catalog! Cool. I was sure someone on here would know. Thanks!
