Pedestal dimensions for a round dining table? - 4 replies

I am about to build my wife a pedestal dining table with a 56” diameter top. I am looking for a resource that can help me determine the size of the pedestal. Any suggestions would be appreciated. The table is going to be based on the Stickley 713. Thanks!
