After a couple of false starts, where I kept stubbing my injured finger, I resumed sanding yesterday, using the orbital sander, to clean up the chairs, using 80 grit, my plan is to go up to 320 grit on all the dining room furniture. Today however it was time for hand sanding again, this time some of the detail, which is the part I don’t like, patience is a virtue, they say, I just wish I had some!! Anyway it was the holes in the chair backs. I could either do this using small bits of sandpaper and two fingers, which would take an eternity, and painful fingers, or make a contoured sanding block, which sounded by far the better option.
