I can’t say enough good about these stones. I have a medium and a fine. The fine I have had for over a year and I use it on a regular basis and it still shows no ware. With the fine I can take my tools edge to a mirror finish. The thing I like about using ceramics is that it is clean. You do not have to use water or oil on these stones. For clean up I use a rubber pencil eraser just like we used in school. And if it gets to bad I use a little water, Comet and a green scouring pad. I hav...

I recently made a purchase of a Global Rough Grit Ceramic Whetstone. After using this stone for one day it was already starting to dish. I have other ceramics that I use that have not shown any wear. I have a set of ceramic rods that I have used for over 30 years that do not show any wear. I also have a flat stone that is over a year old that shows no wear. I know this is not a tool but it is somewhere we can get certain tools to make our woodworking experience better. I have recently made a couple of online purchases for sharpening. I had to make returns to two of the shops and I would like to give them both 5 stars for their NO HASSLE return. I am always leery of shopping online because you never know who you are dealing with. I have owned my Work Sharp for a little over two years. I don’t mean to be critical but I have seen too many reviews that are done by someone who has played with their new tool over the weekend and give it 5 stars. I would like to see more reviews after they have had their tool for a while (30 days or more).
