Hi pezman, I can tell you step by step on how i do my wheels! Step 1 i use a 21/4” hole saw .I use 3/4” walnut wood for the tire, then i cut the hole out with the hole saw. makes a perfect round blank for the tire. Step 2 i use a 11/2 forstner bit for the hole in my drill press. Step 3 I use a wooden dowel the same size as the hole i cut out. you can buy the dowel at home-depot or lowes . I use a 11/2” dowel .If you have a drill press vise it will hold the dowel while you drill through it. this will be for the roundtooth picks & hub see my jig i made on making wheels. P.S. you can get the hubs at Hobby Lobby or make you”re own . The holes has to match up with the holes in the rim . good luck!!
