Marquetry problems, veneer splitting at tips of leaf - 3 replies I am adding some simple aspen leaves to some breadboards I am making, and I am having problems with the tips of the veneer leaves breaking off. I am putting veneer tape on one side prior to cutting, but because of the 45 degree orientation of the grain of the wood to simulate the veins in the leaves, I find the tips still break off.Suggestions?... |
