Had a tornado pass through here Jan. 15th. The score is Tornado-1, My woodshop-0. Sucks huh? And NO insurance. Still sorting things out.

Wow! Pawpaw, that is terrible. I hate tornados. I live in Georgia and we have our share of them, too. I’m so sorry for your tragedy. Do the walls have enough integrity so that they could be salvaged. Do you have some friends and/or family that could help you restore it? What about your tools and equipment? I hate stuff like this. I’m sure going to pray for your situation for starters. Maybe some of the Lumberjocks can set up some sort of fund to help you. I don’t know how to organize something like this. However, if some of the people that are here know how to set up things like this I would sure chip in my share. People have set up things like this on Lumberjocks before. I think what they may have used is something like Go Fund Me or something like it. Its a place on the internet where you can set up a little website for collecting donations for a worthy cause. God Bless. Lets just see what happens. You never know.

My neighbor lady next door set up a GoFundMe page to try and help. It’s been going slow so far. Here’s the link if anyone is interested. Thanks.

PawPaw, I just now donated and I hope it will help. Maybe some of the other Lumberjocks will read your post.

God Bless

Thank you Charles. I’m normally a fairly proud old fart but at this point I’ll gladly take all the help I can get. Thank you.

I guess I’m sort of an old fart myself.

As one old fart to another: In cases like this there’s nothing in the world wrong with accepting a little help. Remember, once you get back on your feet you can always help somebody that is going through something similar. That way a lot of old farts can get some help on down the road.

Take care.
