I am a Torpedo mechanic by trade and have turned a wrench on one thing or another all my life. Tanks, cars, airplanes and torpedoes but never wood...until recently. As a kid woodshop always intrigued me but I never persued it. The beauty of the grain and the pride and gratification of building something that is my own unique design always stuck with me. As I got older, I realized how compelled I felt to build with wood, but never had the money. Life has been good to me in the past few years and I was finally able to buy the tools I needed and a house with a small 2 car garage to work out of. I've only been at it for about 2 years now on and off but I feel I have a good understanding of the basics and I love to explore my creativity. I'm always open to any suggestions or advice anyone might have and look forward to hopefully making many Lumberjock friends.
