Worth the Journey

It’s hard to believe that after two years of very hard work Dennis Zongker and I have finally received word that the book is at the printers… Working with Dennis has been filled with learning, laughing, and stressing over deadlines and in the end worth every second of it.

Dennis has worked many hours and through all that he has managed to keep his head up high and not loose sight of his goals. He always pushes so hard and his dream was to one day be able to write a book. Well he is finished with his very first book. If you can dream it and you work hard at it anything in this world is possible.

Dennis has been so encouraging and such a wonderful understanding teacher. I have never built anything out of wood nor did I even have a clue what a dado, spline or jig was. I never knew what a vertical section versus a plan view was on an AutoCAD drawing. At least now I do.

A lot of time, work and effort went into completing the book. Dennis and I gave up a lot of late nights, family time, holidays and weekends. Now that we are near the end I have to say it was worth the journey to get to where we are today and I would do it again.

Thank you Dennis for putting up with me and taking the time to help me to understand exactly how to build all seven of these beautiful boxes and put every step into words.

I created a facebook page for the book for anyone that might be interested in following along. It will have sneak peeks inside, special announcements and press releases.

Thanks for your support and Happy woodworking!

For those who don’t want to support facebook, can you post the peeks inside and special announcements here also.

I would buy the book to support Dennis, but come on MAN; facebook? really, you’ve got to have a sneak preview on a woodworking forum not on a; “sharing site” as you speak of!
glad to hear Dennis is writing a book.he does some very cool work.

Dennis is a fine craftsman and has a lot of knowledge to share and I wish you both much success with the book.
