This was done with black walnut and rubbed with steel wool and vinegar solution.

cub cart 1.0v

I was tasked to build two cub carts for the boy scouts. They gave me two sets of wheel chair casters and plans for a kids cub cart and one for a adult cub cart. it is a race kind of like pine wood cars. it will be held this Saturday. I have the kids one done and it as been tested by the scouts and meets approval. O and it fast and a bit showy.

The cart is made out of 3 8’ 2×4 fir milled to 1 1/2×3 6\16, maple peaces and mdf covered with laminate

2.0 is on the way.

Frame it

My Father in laws birthday, so the wife wanted me to make a frame for picture of my daughters. I also did one for my wife’s sister’s girl so they he would have the same frames. These are the ones completed.I cut and milled more piece but two was all I need for now.

Every one needs one. love it.

Deck made out of 1/2 birch ply and toped with 1\4 hardboard
Fence made out of 1/2 birch ply and straight grained hemlock

17×26 fence 15 1/6

accesorys are sliding stop, box cutting jig, and removable blade insert for deck and fence.
I plan on making a 45deg triangle to on deck to make miters
and a hold done device

This is a white oak, Stickley style picture (4×6). frame. it was fun to build I used a little hand tools and a little power. mortise & tendon joints and it pivots on a brass pin. the finish is roofing tar (mineral spirits to cut) and topped with 2coat shellac then wax. I was going for a antique look.

It is my Dads B-Day and I thought he would like a this.
