in the shop Saturday night getting some pen banks read. Dang it if I did not glue my fingers together (two fingers on both hands) It was hot out and I picked up the med.. CA glue (faster drying). I knew I got glue on my fingers but I was working with a nice blank of Brazilian rosewood. I saved the blank but found I had no ACETONE.. So yes I had to run to lows and get some.
Turners it happens and now I know to keep the ACETONE handy. (in case I need a good soaking)

been there brother!
thankfully when it happened to me, it wasn’t enough glue that I couldn’t pull my thumbs apart. It was 11pm so I was more concerned about having to wake up my wife than I was about having glued my thumbs together!

Almost been there….
I spent the evening chewing the paper towel off my fingers. Then I was worried I had messed up my finger print to use for access at work!! The scanner doesn’t recognize CA glue. LOL

Nitril Gloves are about .07 a pair. I wear them for anything that i dont want to get on my hands. You can hardly feel them.

You have a daughter. I therefore assume you have a wife.
Use nail polish remover.
(I guess I assume your wife polishes her nails.)
