This Blanket Chest is all hand made from Poplar. It is 40 in wide, 17 in deep, and 18 in high. There are 60 hand cut dovetails on this case. The finish that I haven’t put on yet is going to be 5 coats of Linseed Oil (Tried & True).

This is a desk I am building for my wife. It is solid cherry with two drawers and measures 70” long 20” deep and 33” tall. You can see the top on my workbench as i am trying to joint them. The legs are a little tricky to do. They start off 2” on the top then taper down to 3/4 of an inch. Hand planing that much material is alot of work. I hope to have it done soon. I will keep you posted.

This is my workbench. The dovetails are a little ruff it doesn’t have a vice yet and it wobbles a little but other than that she’s perfect!

I STARTED OFF TRYING TO THROW A SIMPLE NIGHT STAND TOGETHER FOR MY WIFE BUT FOUND MYSELF TRYING NEW THINGS TAKING WAY MORE TIME THEN I HAD PLANNED. IT’S NOTHING TO HARD TO DO BUT I NEED TO WORK ON MY DOVETAILS ALOT!
