Cherry Writing Table #1: Design - Sketchup

We needed another table for one of the kids to do school work. During a search of, I found an article by Christian Becksvoort that was published in the March/April 1990 issue. The table in the article was too large for the space, so it was off to Sketchup to scale the basic design down.

The drawer is not shown because I haven’t figured out how to animate it in Sketchup, any suggestions are appreciated.

We went to J.H. Monteath Lumber Company yesterday and bought the 8/4 for the legs and 3/4 Cherry for the aprons. The interior structure will be poplar.

That is exactly the type of table I want to build for my office at home!

In fact, I’d be VERY interested in getting a copy of your sketchup.
