Yes BOWL not BOX. My first project for 2010.
I’ve wanted a lathe for a very long time (ever since I trained in a metal workshop), but haven’t had the free funds to justify the purchase.
Many LJ’s are very inventive, so I thought I’d have a go at something new – a Bandsaw Bowl. It was actually quite easy to achieve, but I’m stuck on how to finish the item. Should I use oil? varnish? something else? All ideas would be welcomed.
Here is the bowl during fabrication.

Just yanking your chain folks – LOML wanted me to cut a coconut open, and the flesh was completely separated from the shell. My pack-rat side tells me to keep it – it will come in useful one day.
Happy new year to all.
