Well it’s been just over two years since “Super Storm Sandy” and I’m still cleaning up the mess. Today I had three of my young grand daughters helping. I had 4 1/2’ of salt water in my basement and every machine in my shop along with a lot of my hand tools were toast.
FEMA and my homeowners ins. covered a lot of it but no where near all of it. Naturally the first thing to get done was my wife’s section which required new washer and dryer, some drywall and paint. Then I put up some new shelving for her and an extension(cordless) phone. After that I was allowed to work in my shop.
I replaced my 35 yr old TS with a new Saw Stop contractors saw, love it. Got a few old Stanley planes on line and have been spending a lot of time tuning them up. I am ordering a set of hand made planes from “Shipwright”. They sure look sweet.
It’s getting late for my old bones so I’ll have to continue this on another day. Larry C
