I used to do the baby food and mayo jars with the lids nailed under the shelf thing.
But after I joined the Navy I had to go more mobile.
I started putting my screws and nails into Gatorade bottles.
The nice thing is I can put a piece of bailing wire around the neck with a loop on it and hang it on a pegboard.
Since the bottle is clear I can see at a glance what’s in it.
Right now I don’t have a pegboard wall, but the filing cabinets (another blog entry) work pretty good for keeping the bottles neat and out of sight. I just group them by the type of contents (1 1/4” dry wall screw, 10p nails, 1/4” nuts) with a description written on the lid in sharpie.
And when I move (groan) the bottles either stay in the drawers, of fit nicely into a 20mm ammo can (and that’s another blog to be.)
This place is too addicting.
