Well wouldn’t ya know it – just when I need it most, my camera died so I had to try it with the Ipod – not so great.At any rate, this is not about me, it is about YOU and your SHOE. In another life, photography was my hobby. (You can check out some of my photographs here.) While I have created lots of projects that I wanted to upload, everytime I tried to take pictures of them, they would come out like crap. You can still see examples of this in my earlier projects. I initially was going to buy a light tent just to improve the quality of my projects to upload. I went to a couple of local photo shops but the least expensive kit started at $149. Walmart had a kit for$70...

Baby Rattles #3: Just about there...

As far as making something and having it turned out like I envisioned it this rattle is the closest: Red Oak and Poplar and filled with dried beans, 5.5 inches long and 3/4 of an inch in diameter at the handle. Finished with mineral oil.

A veneering extravaganza!

This intricate project is a veneered, inlaid, banded, and beaded set consisting of a coffee table and two end tables. The visible woods are curly maple, boire, Peruvian walnut, anigre, figured anigre, and wenge. The secondary woods are mahogany and poplar. This elevated shot shows the anigre veneered drawer bottom, and the detail in the top. The end tables are 23” tall and the tops are just under 26” X 26”. 2x4 Project #1: Progress

Here’s a blog on the progress of my 2×4 project for the Winter Awards Contest. It’s not completed yet, I still need to put some hinges on it and clean it up before I post it as an entry but it’s almost there. I should be ready to enter it this weekend.
