I hope you will not expect my shop to pass the MsDebbieP LJ inspection just yet. I’ve been a little laid up lately since I broke my leg in a stupid home accident. (I jumped when I should have walked around.) But, I’ve got to get some equipment so I can make some small boxes. I’ll be cleaning out a lot of the junk to make room and I’m taking advice over in the Forum section at LJ to find out what tools, equipment, etc. I need to spend my next $500 on. I’ll be posting more pictures as I make progress towards getting the shop updated. I’ll also post how my first box goes. I’m making one with the tools I have already but it doesn’t count.

The tools you may be able to make out in the shop now are:
Compound Miter Saw, Circular Saw, Jig Saw, Router (Fixed), Cordless Drill, Dove Tail Saw, Chisels (1/8 – 1”), 54” All in One Clamp, 6 12” Irwin Clamp/Spreaders, other misc. hand tools.

I hope to record my progress in the quality of my projects as well as the equipment I use. Thanks for your patience.

-- Jim

so far, Jim, only dangling extension cords have been the reason for a “fail” on the inspection.
Contents and organization aren’t a necessity for a pass (pretty much just “participation”) ha.

The most important part of the shop is to get out in it and work. Tools will come over a number of years.
