Well, I have been away for the computer for the last three days, we held a fundraiser in the small town of Marble Falls Texas, which has a population of around 5,000 for an employee that has been battling lung cancer and away from work for the past eight months. I built the Dancing Clock for the silent auction and there were many other donations from the community as well. The employee’s younger brother was the high bidder on the clock and he gave it to his brother. To date we have raised $4,100 for the employee and we have a raffle that we will be selling tickets for until the 12th of August. We have titled the Raffle “Make Friday The 13th Larry’s Lucky Day” since we will be drawing for the prizes on Friday the 13th of August.
It has been a very good past couple of days, and considering the average wages for the people that attended are 10 to 12 dollars an hour they were all very generous. It does my heart good to see a facility with 42 employees do so much for a coworker.
