I just read Artist’s Bio at http://www.whisperingeagle.com/LoriBio.htm and was reminded of the time that my older son convinced my younger son that he, too, could fly. His was more the super-hero type of flying and my younger son jumped off the roof of the house 3 times before he gave up the idea. Some people really can fly …

Michael….that seems to be a recurring theme with people in my life…a close friend told me that when he was a kid, his brothers an sis convinced him that if he tied chickens to his arms and jumped off the roof, the chickens would keep him airborne.

Three of the six chickens died.

A few folks have asked how I got the handle “Osprey Bait”. So I thought I’d just post the link to the story that explains it in all it’s humiliating detail…

Well…if ya can’t make somebody laugh at least once a day, why even bother getting out of bed? My unique talent is turning the Everyday Ordinary into the Monumentally Stupid…and it happens so quickly, I am often left wondering how and at exactly what moment it went so horribly wrong.

How’s life in Jerome, these days, Dennis?

Welcome to Lumberjocks. The projects are an inspiration, the information is priceless and the people are supportive. The only problem is, the site can get addictive.

God Bless
tom

Hi Lori. Your nice Uncle? Max, welcomed me to the jocks. While looking at his projects, I found your page. It’s kool that you’re a bird carver. Your carvings are very impressive! I’ve done some carving in the past, and want to do much more. I know I will, sooner or later. If I have any questions, I’ll surely be buggin you. :)

Thanks (I think) Splinterman…don’t know if you were being sarcastic, or not…lol…I haven’t been too active here.

@Roger…my Uncle is a very talented woodworker. Grampa (his Dad) was, too. I guess the Druid-spirit is genetic. :-) thanks for the compliment! Give me a shout if there’s anything I can answer bird-carving-wise.
