Hey Greg, that was fun to watch. Too bad it was raining when I visited. I would have enjoyed watching you work. That will make some nice bowl stock. Let me know if he doesn't buy it all. I have started working on the wood I got from you. Then I had a slight miscalculation on my table saw and now my thumb is healing nicely!! Lots of plans for boxes with your wood.

Thanks for the video, Greg. That was fun to watch you drive this saw. I don't know that I would even know where to put the key. It makes my little 18" bar look like a toy.
I will Ken! If you turn platters you dont go that deep so you get the quarter grain figure which is the nicest of the oak figure. But yes this is fun fun fun and it is my Work!
Greg - Great video!.....I love my Stihl….they make one heck of a saw - I've had mine for almost 20 years….and only a tune up and a few changes of spark plugs to keep it running great….mine does not have the long bar though (only 20")....I cringed when I saw that bar…..man that would be some work to free up if you bind it…...not to mention that is alot of sharpening…..
No It does fall off sometimes but just drops. Never had a mis-hap. Pray for me because if you have a mis-hap with this saw I don't think you would know it until you woke up in heaven. lol
Hey Greg…I was a climber for years. I had a broken arm, broken fingers, cut myself down to the knee cap bone, etc. One of the best jobs I ever had…the job that keeps reminding me of it when it gets cold. Nice video…that saw sure beats the old big ones that would break your hand just getting them started. You guys have some huge trees in Oregon.
