Sorry it has been so long between Posts. Many of you wanted to see my 6’ chain saw in action. So we put this video together. Enjoy!

take 10237 action ….LOL

niice sice of both chain and tree , if you had the lathe big enoff you cuold make some impressive bowls
after the split :-)

Hey Greg, that was fun to watch. Too bad it was raining when I visited. I would have enjoyed watching you work. That will make some nice bowl stock. Let me know if he doesn’t buy it all. I have started working on the wood I got from you. Then I had a slight miscalculation on my table saw and now my thumb is healing nicely!! Lots of plans for boxes with your wood.

Thanks for the video, Greg. That was fun to watch you drive this saw. I don’t know that I would even know where to put the key. :) It makes my little 18” bar look like a toy.

Amazing video.
Wish I had more than a four footer chain saw.

That’s cool. Black oak is gorgeous….

I am curious on why it needed to be quarter sawn? If it’s being turned in to bowls, does the grain pattern really matter?

I will Ken! If you turn platters you dont go that deep so you get the quarter grain figure which is the nicest of the oak figure. But yes this is fun fun fun and it is my Work!
