Hey everyone,
Would any of you have or know of someone who has one of the craftsman CNC wood carvers or something like that to do a project for me? I would be willing to trade Burl for it or pay the cost.
I need wooded burl coins made with my company logo carved on them out of my burls. The coin I would like to be the size of a silver dallor and starting at 1/4-3/16th thick.
Let me know please. I need them by January.
Thanks
Greg Dahl

I know of some local high schools in my home town that have CNC machines and they do work for free as long as its not a huge project, its great practice for the students and it helps out people in the community as well, maybe there is a high school to college with CNC equipment near you that would be willing to do the work.

Thanks Chris for the idea, I wish you were closer. I would send you some burl. I’ll have to check at the college here.
Thanks again.

Laser etching is another option. I have never used one, (our high school has one) but imagine it might give better results (speed and clarity) – I have a cnc, but I think you would be better served with a laser…

Greg,
What size are you looking for. I only have 16” by 24” capability.
PM me your logo if that is adequate.
Steve.
