17 posts in 865 days Location: Montreal, Quebec, Canada A love of wood and a creative urge sent me back to school at 29 years old to learn the art of Cabinetmaking. After almost 18 months of full-time studies i am nearing the end of this great program. The program is mostly solid wood furniture oriented however touches on the ever-growing and ever important role of sheet-stock. The instructors at the school have been awesome bar one (will not mention names) and their collective knowledge and experience has helped tremendously. I work with off-cuts and salvaged woods mostly, i have a good relationship with various woodworking shops in the local area whom i get a decent amount of wood from. We maximize each piece and create what we can from it so as to further reduce the waste. I am also addicted to the Lathe!!!!!! Latest Activity | view all »
