I am retired and do some woodworking as a hobby. I make what I call utilitarian pieces. My last project was a tansu for my wife's home office. I share my workspace with a vehicle so no large shop tools. I do have good hand tools. It seems that most everyone likes my projects and I try to build to last. My wife loves red oak so that is what I work with the most. My next project is going to be a TV console that will hold about 600 dvd's. I hope I get my way and use walnut for the console.

I just noticed you live in MD. My wife’s parents live in Crofton. I was a manager at a High Gear tire and Auto parts store way back in 1975. Then we moved back to MA for a 2nd shift recall at GM. I retired in 2000 and then we moved to St Augustine FL.
