Are you tired of making Band Saw boxes and Cutting Boards? Want a wood project a little more challenging?

Why not build a 1939 Lagonda Rapide Tulipwood Tourer? Actually 9 were built in a British factory taking over 2000 man hours each. It had a V-12 engine of 255 hp and reached a top speed of 80 mph. In 2007 one of these came up for auction and sold for $450,000.

Posted just because I find it fascinating but then my Entertainment Threshold is very low.

Its not because of the wood…its because the way it looks.

Great looking roadster. Wish it were mine.

Wow, that is a great looking car! And the body is tulipwood—amazing!

Would definitely love to have one of these—but only 80 mph out of 255 horses? Got to re-gear that rear end!
