My grandfather got me interested in woodworking many years ago. I put together a very small collection of tools and only completed some simple little projects before having to give up my home in TX 10yrs ago. Since then i have been floating from one Apartment to another with all my tools in storage. I just recently bought a home in Phoenix AZ and have some grand plans for turning my garage into a workshop. I am very much an amateur at woodworking and can't wait to get started.

Other than woodworking I spend too much time in front of my PC and I am also involved in digital photography, Ham radio (if you're in AZ send me a pm for my callsign), and firearms.

I am a supervisor for a small remote-helpdesk company based in Scottsdale. I manage a small team of technicians that handle computer support requests from our customers.

Welcome to Lumberjocks. The projects are an inspiration, the information is priceless and the people are supportive. The only problem is, the site can get addictive.

God Bless
tom

I stumbled across LJ late last night looking for reviews on tablesaws. I had just unloaded a new Craftsman 21833 tablesaw (quite a feat of strength) and went to the nearby HD to get some holesaw bits for my drill. While at HD I spotted the RIGID R4511 with it’s slick granite tabletop at ~$50 less than the craftsman.. I immediately made plans to heft the craftsman back in the truck and return it today but, when I found the EXCELLENT reviews from the great people on this site (like PurpLev, mandmj and Glenn) I decided to keep the Craftsman. The comments left on those reviews were also very helpful in making my decision.

I have to say I have never found such a wealth of great information and so many friendly people on 1 site. I just had to become a member.

“23743 projects” OMG!
