Just about Christmas 09 I had a doctor’s appointment after the first of the year. The urologist felt the best for me was to have my prostate removed with a full opening
It had gotten to big (14) the biggest he had ever seen. (by the way he did a great job, I now p like a hours.)

They would rather remove it on their own time and not wait and do it in an emergence. This got my attention big time; after a few more test they set the operation for the 21 of June last year. While in the recovery room after the prostate operation I had a heart attack and a month later in the hospital (Mexico) they did a 5x bypass with a lot of complication. (The 5x by pas operation was great success) but i was In and out of hospitals for the last year. The last stay was two month ago.

Now I’m back on top of the world with another 10 or 20 years to play around with.
Life is good and it has given my same time to play. I went into my shop for the first time to do something a couple of days to do something; it had been fourteen since the last time I did this. What joy just to stand and look around and just touch things.

You guys (Lumberjocks) were a big help with what I went through.
I brought up the site every time I got a chance,

Posting was real hard for me, just getting well was all I had straight for,
This is the best web site on the enter net by far.
Love you all
Yes I will start posting, I have a lot to say about this place where I live and a few thing I have made my self. Occie

G’day Occie, good to hear from you and glad you are OK after all your problems. Visiting the shop and getting the feel of things will be a great help. Look forward to seeing your posts. Can understand why you didn’t boither with the trees you asked about. Keep well mate and I agree with you about this site.

Occie, your story almost echoes my own. I too am trying to get it together to once again work in my shop. I too found that my fellow LJs have been some of the most supportive friends I have ever known and have helped me through a really difficult and depressing time.
I bet the both of us look forward so much to being able to post a project to show that we are “back in the saddle”, I know I do.
In the meantime, enjoy this community, wonder at the amazing projects and look forward to the day when you have projects to post.
Hang in there, we are here for you.

It’s good to hear that you are still hear. I missed the post where you told us you needed our prays;-). I will say a pray of thanksgiving for you. I wish you many more years of health; but live each day as if it were your last, it will be a lot more fun that way.
