For Father's Day 2011 I received a table saw. This, along with a circular saw, a drill, and a Dremel is the entire extent of my power tool collection.
I grew up in a household that emphasized working with your mind over working with your hands, but I have discovered that I really enjoy working with my hands. As things break in my house, I am learning to fix them. Now, I am going to embark on learning to craft with wood.
As of June 19, 2011 (Father's Day) I have only completed (or even attempted) two woodworking projects in my life - in 7th grade shop I made a wood box, and when I was a teacher I built a lectern for my classroom. I still have both and may eventually post images - both are crude, but they're mine and I'm proud of them.
