I began woodworking four years ago when I needed a drafting table for school and was too cheap to buy one, so I built a very functional (but not pretty) drafting table and haven't stopped building since. I graduated from the architecture and design school at the University of Colorado where I discovered a passion for designing and working with my hands. My design skills exceed my craftsmanship skills right now but I learn a great deal from every project I do. I build for fun mostly, although I have sold a couple pieces.
I love simple, elegant, innovative, and functional design that is honest and celebrates craftsmanship and the beauty of the materials it incorporates. I appreciate modern design and have an aversion toward needless, gaudy ornamentation.
