finish on oak question - 8 replies
I am trying to finish a gary oak box with satin poly. The grain is rather figured and there is one portion that looks lighter, almost like sapwood. The problem is that portion is either repelling or absorbing the finish. I am not sure whether its due to the figuring (it isn’t “endgrain”, but it isn’t straight grain eit...
