My first assignment is to make a project of scrap wood. I’m thinking of making a book bag rack. Any tips or tricks that could help?

Just one suggestion. Scrap material makes me think short lengths. I avoid taking short lengths to a machine.

First assignment. What does that mean? Are you a student, beginning woodworker, or what?

Cutting short pieces can be dangerous.
