I am a 34 year old Corrections Officer with a hobby of furniture and box building. I am not a purist. Tools are made for a reason, however i do appreciate learning the right way. I think in straight lines and learn something new on every project i do. I am self taught through books, experience, and talking to people at the local wood shops. I appreciate comments and criticism and have thick skin so dont be afriad to say it.

Howdy and Welcome to LJ, the best woodworking community anywhere!

I see you hit the ground running – you have posted several projects already! Looks like some nice work and you are learning with every project that you do.

Besides our passion for woodwork we share another common trait, being self-taught. Everyone starts climbing the ladder from the bottom and you are definitely making your way up!

Welcome to Lumberjocks. The projects are an inspiration, the information is priceless and the people are supportive. The only problem is, the site can get addictive.

God Bless
