The Tormek system is impressive. I’ve owned this, and it does precisely what it says it will do. The primary issue is the long-term flatness (dressing) of the wheel, and the jigs are fairly expensive. With practice, you can get the repeatability required for consistent primary and micro-bevel angle.

For the cost, you may want to consider the low-tech ‘sharky sharpening system’, which is based on a honing guide and progressively higher grits of wet abrasives.

Thanks for the review Brett. Tormek makes an impressive product.
