That looks like it would be fiun to make. I think I’ll turn some up and let my kids paint them for Christmas. Thanks for posting the vids Brett.

Great project! I think I’ll try it myself! But I’m wondering why you chose quarter sawn white oak for a turning project? Mostly of whats showing is the side of the board that has no rays or flecks. The only one is the top board and the bottom board and are the smallest boards or the bunch.

Well I was given the oak for free and just wanted to see if a could use it in turnings, so it was kind of like an experiment project for me.
