Having sold my last trailer (The Kabin Kruiser), I decide to build another (number 10). The build journal can be seen

I will continue to add pics as it progresses

Pretty cool. And coincidently, I am in the process of refurbishing my utility trailer. Not making
a camper though. Just a hauler. Floor was rotted plywood, and removed.

I need to remove rust from the frame and coat it with something. I don’t have a compressor so
sandblasting is out. I was thinking about trying a grinder with some pig-tailed wire brush
attachements.

Also heard that those needle tools work good for this. But again, that would require a compressor.
A rather large one at that.

So Navy, do you favor any particular rust proofing product ? Por-15 gets a lot of positve reviews
as a stop rust , but its 160 dollars a gallon !

Also have heard good things about Rustoleum Professional. I’m leaning toward just using Rustoleum Stops Rust and painting over that possibly. Your thoughts on prepping and painting the frame ? My frame I believe is larger
than yours. How much paint did it take to paint yours approximately ? Sorry about all the questions. lol.

Likely going to use treated 2×12x10 for my floor boards as this trailer will be used for hauling. Its a 6×10.

Nice work there ! Amazing really.

I used Plasti-Kote Rust converter and it worked great…turns the rust black and hard and ready for painting…about 20 bucks a bottle

Have your say...
