« Part 4: Update/Merry Christmas Late/Happy New Year Part 5 of Just Updates series Part 6: Long Haul »

LJ Family,

Thank you for your patience! Much has happened! Last Saturday T was discharged from the hospital in Reno even though she had a low grade fever and her labs were climbing. It was like since they could not figure the problem out they sent us home! 12 hours later we were back in our local hospital! Two days later we flew to Cal. Pacific University Medical Center in San Francisco where t had surgery the next day. She has a great team of liver specialists working on her and we will not leave until they figure it all out. She is recovering slowly, but her numbers are looking better! And we are together!

This is the view from our room! The Golden Gate is beautiful, though I told her I would have preferred seeing in again when we where on vacation instead:). (I’m sorry I still can’t figure out how to turn my picture!)

Thanks for your prayers and encouragement!

I’m glad your wife is getting the attention she needs, and hopefully the doctors will be able to determine what the problem is, now … after more surgery! Your updates are appreciated Nate … many thanks for keeping us in the loop so we can keep sending positive thoughts your way.

Nate, great news for you and T. Hope the recovery continues. It’s been a long haul for you folks. Good move by going to the University Hospital.

Take care and wishing T a speedy recovery.

Nate and Teresa, My prayers continue. So glad to hear that you’ve gotten to the real specialist and she’s responding well. Don’t leave too soon and experience a relapse. Just get well. Loving thoughts to the both of you.

Nate, I hope these are the first steps to life being better. I guess some times you just have to go for the ride and see where it takes you. I hope it gets smoother!

Nate, Glad to hear that things are improving for you all but it really aggravates me that your Drs were just going to send her home with the problem unresolved.

I have learned that you have to be pretty aggressive in demanding decent medical care as it seems too many Drs just want to run an assembly line (get em in, get em out, collect the money, go to the next one). Sorry for the rant but I’ve been where you are with sick loved ones.

It’s very irresponsible for a hospital to send a patient home in these conditions.
I am glad the numbers are improving after the surgery. Hope she will recovery quickly.
