Well family we are still here in the hospital. After a huge battery of test lasting all week they still don’t know exactly what is going on with my wonderful wife’s liver. They have taken biopsies but those will not be in until Tuesday. What we do know is that her liver is just sitting there, static. It is not pushing things through like it should. We may end up going to a hospital in San Francisco! Yesterday was my mothers funeral/Celebration of Life, so I left T for a little while which hurt like crazy. But her mother and our sister-in-law watched over her! I was back after the and will be by her side through thick or thin!

I will keep you all posted. Thank you all for your kind words of encouragement, love and prayers!

More to follow…

Nate

Dear Nate,

We want you to know how blessed we were by reading your mother’s obituary. You sound like an incredible family. We can’t begin to understand your sorrows, but God knows. We would like to share a post that we just read on another family’s website. We couldn’t say it better.

”We speak of our Lord as the Alpha and Omega, but He is the Mu as well. He is right in the middle of all this. It is not merely that the Lord will never leave us or forsake us, but that He is meticulously working every detail in order to bring about a good end. The Lord is our Comforter in anguish, He is our Helper through trials, and our Completer to the end. We don’t always understand it, or get it. He’s too big. Paul commented:
‘Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and His ways past finding out!’
Although it seems that words are futile, our hope is that our prayers are fertile, know that we are praying for you.”

Shortly before my brother died of brain cancer, I made this tray table for him with a verse which has always given me great comfort.
