« Part 1: Power Tool Storage Part 2 of Work Shop Organization series no next part

After drawing the plans, I went to the store to purchase the lumber to build the storage box. Had to make a few substitutions due to the price of lumber here in England. Instead of using ply, I settled for MDF. Still quite expensive but nothing near the price of ply or pine. Anyway, I will post pictures of the work in progress.

Nate, I like mdf for certain things but for joining into a carcass is not one of them. Obviously PREDRILL all holes and Don’t use tapered screws. Looks like an interesting idea to keep your tools at a moments notice.

Thanks Pat, I will reinforce everything with spruce but I know what ya mean. Just a pity wood is so expensive here. If I were making a piece of furniture or something like that, MDF wouldn’t even be a thought, but for a storage bin, I can live with it.
