yes the bowl is in Friday Harbor, foot was a press fit that was glued, not happy with the bottom of the inside of the bowl, but I was in a hurry to finish it, as it was about 10 at night, and we were going to leave at midnight, haha. Other than that I like it, i had to stop and glue the natural edge a couple different times during turning to not lose it.

Thanks Mike, I will check those out. So far my grandson loves to wear "head pones" cuz they are cool. However, the ones I have are way too big and I think he'll get tired of them if I don't get something that fits comfortably.

    Thanks for the help,
    Natalie

Hi Natalie, regarding hearing protection for the kids. There are two kinds that my kids have liked to wear when they want to muffle out the world. One is this kind= that they also liked to wear on the 4th of July when things get noisy outside or in the shop.

The other ear plugs they like and I wear also when I am using my planer are these=. These are super light weight and they look cool hanging around your neck. Most of the box stores and lumber yards sell both I have noticed. Fun to keep the kids involved…........................

I see you are fairly new to LJ, so welcome to my favorite place on the web. It's wonderful that both you and your husband have great hobbies. Cars were my passion from age 12, but I had to give it up when my wife and I got married in 1966, as I couldn't afford it after that. I like woodworking a lot better anyway. It's good that you have a 500sq.ft. shop. I expect we will be seeing some nice projects coming out of there, especially since you have a woodworking background. I appreciate you humorous disposition so I think we can look forward to some lively blogs from you as well. You remind me a lot of Elaine aka 'Justoneofme' who does some really creative and original intarsia work. I hope you will look her up, she is a fun person and very talented.
