no previous part Part 1 of J. H. Rosberg Mfg. Co. - Chicago series Part 2: Day 2 - I'm reposting photos of my Dad's workbench to my Blog »

Well, today is my first day at Lumberjocks. I joined this list because I inherited my Dad’s watch workbench and was investigating any and all web sites for information on the bench. I’ve posted photos of the bench and it’s label in my Project’s area. It’s a lovely piece and I’m not going to refinish it. I have no idea when it might have been made. I do remember him having it since I was 5 years old. And that is 50 years ago. LOL

Since I like to frame my art glass in “real” wood frames, my next task is to learn how to refinish a vintage frame. Thank you for allowing me to join the group.

Welcome to LumberJocks!

I looked and don’t see anything posted with photos of the workbench. Since you’re not going to refinish it, perhaps a blog entry with photos would be more appropriate than a Project entry. Those are typically reserved for something made of wood that has been built, modified or refinished by the LJ. On the other hand a blog can be used to share info (including photos), tell a story or just ruminate about life…

Oops! I found the photos, they’re located in your Workshop area. Which is not a bad place for them but a lot of people don’t look at Workshops, they just read Blogs, Forums and Projects…

Once again, welcome.
