I will add pictures when I have them. I have a 1400 sq ft basement shop. Still working on getting it laid out in the best configuration. Also we had to clean out our storage room to make room for baby #2 so most of that got dumped in the basement, so still going though and clearing out the clutter.

Ok, added some pics. Sorry, I don’t clean up for picture taking.

This summer I did some new cabinets for my in-laws camp, I got the old ones, so I used some left-over cherry hardwood flooring that came with the house and built a counter top. The counter got coated with epoxy-resin so wood glue won’t stick to it.

My fancy-schmancy clamp rack. Couple 2×4’s and some left-over plywood, much cheaper than buying one. Most of the clamps are on a project right now so the rack looks pretty barren.

Used Stockroom Supply’s 30” drum sander kit to build that beast of machine, works great.

My jointer alcove. The blue tote behind it is home to a few thousand lobster roaches to feed our bearded dragon…mmm roaches.

The pine wood-working table my father built about 20 years ago, he got out of wood-working and into metal machining so I acquired it. In the background you can see my maple work bench. We bought that for about $100 new from HD to act as a kitchen island in our last house, not it is perfect for a work bench in the shop.

The house came with this huge cabinet, it is very old but in pristine shape, so it works wonderfully well as a tool storage cabinet. The area pictured is only half the cabinet…

Since I was only allowed 6 pictures I will work on uploading some more to my site and linking them here. Not pictured is my turning setup, the table saw, some other work benches and areas, etc.

Hi Rich,

I will be looking forward to seeing some pictures of your shop. I really enjoy visual tours of other shops and yours does sound interesting.

Rich, you have a nice shop space in which to work. With 1400 sq ft of available space your opportunities and options are wide open. It is great to see some sawdust on the floor as well. This makes a shop look like it is being used. Nice idea on the clamp storage rack as well. It works and basically was made from left overs. Nice job.

Thanks for the pictures. I enjoyed visiting with you.
