We moved to western North Carolina in the fall of 2010, and bought a house with an existing workshop (16’x’20’). The last person to use the shop had a small refrigerator for beer, TV, and big easy chair in it, so I’ve spent my limited free time making it mine. To date, I’ve torn out most of the old cabinets, replaced the light fixtures, installed a plywood subfloor, repainted, installed a heat source, resurfaced the cabinets I kept, put up some pegboard and shelving and lumber racks, and built a workbench. Now I’m in the middle of building a Stefang inspired shop cart. Someday the shop will be operational, but in the meantime I’m making a lot of mistakes and (hopefully) learning a lot.
