There are some lumberjocks that have been an inspiration to me. They have a God-given talent in the wood working field and have often been working in that craft for many years. I admire their willingness to share their knowledge with others. They seem to be down-to-earth and a true professional. I had the honor and privilege to meet one such person while on my trip to California. His name is Patron of Ojo Caliente, New Mexico. I enjoyed the opportunity to meet David in person and wanted to thank him for taking time to have lunch with me and my wife. He is even more handsome and debonair in person!

Tom ,
i can assure you ,
that the pleasure was all mine .

meeting with you and Ruth was an honor for me .

when i got your PM about this ,
i was exited that you would take the time ,
to come out to the boonies ,
just to say hello to me .

i too have admired your work and personal ethics ,
for a long time .

i encourage all LJ’s to meet whenever possible ,
the bonds formed here are special .

you may want to check with your optometrist however ,

handsome ?
debonair ?

God surely works in strange ways , LOL !

Hi guys,
I’m lost here… There are a story of two old LJ,s meeting, and I’m all tears – but then you must have put the wrong picture, I see two Eastcoast hustlers hanging out at the local gas station…
You are just wonderful both, and yes Patron are also one of my heroes.
Wonderful to see that this site can make things like that happen.
Thank you for inviting us into this moment,
Mads

Two of my favorite Lumberjocks together in one place! You two could make beautiful music..er, I mean furniture… together.

Now if you don’t mind, I’m going to print that photo and use it for pest control. :-)

Picking up on Lee’s comment…

I’m glad to see that you guys went the safe route and met in a public place. You never know when these internet dates can turn ugly.
