« Part 2: First Steps Toward a 5S Shop Part 3 of Organizing a New Shop series Part 4: Tool Storage »

Well, I bought the bins, and got a pretty good start on sorting out the shop. My shop time has been limited to a few hours here and there- the kidlets always seem to need attention. I even had the baby out there while I sorted. She just sat there in her little bouncy seat and talked to the wind and the dog and such.

It seems that whenever my DW gets a few hours, she’s gone into town for groceries and other needs. I can’t blame her- she’s got our 6 kids in her hair all week, and she needs the break. It just brings my activity to a halt until she returns. I really can’t complain, though; I’ve been truly blessed with a wonderful family.

I’ll get out there tomorrow night. I have to make a breadboard for my finishing class. 5 species of wood, arranged in some nice way, and brought to a satin finish with hand-rubbed oil. I’ll post pictures as I can.

glad to hear that the bins are working.

6 kids – yah, people would need a break once in a while
