Well, I guess I’ve hit 4 years at LumberJocks.com. It all began with a curiosity about woodworking and just wanting to make a box – any box.
The curiosity connected me with LumberJocks.com. I immediately saw something different and felt very comfortable at the site, being able to find my way around easily. I also found a great group of people who encouraged me and tutored me and the journey began.
It wasn’t long before I started envisioning the possibilities for LumberJocks.com and I shared an idea or two with Martin. Through the messaging I discovered that our founder was a brilliant young man of integrity and I kind of took it upon myself to help him achieve the greatness that I saw in his future.
The rest is history and I think, with the CreativeHands sites joining Escalate Media, the possibilities are reaching even greater heights than I had envisioned. And now, I look forward to what the future holds for the sites.
As to my woodworking, I recently completed the “shoe carving challenge” and that was really exciting. I’m sure we will have more classes in the future and I look forward to participating.
And then there is the other part of my life, my home and family life. At the same time that LumberJocks joined Escalate Media I also found out that I am going to be a grandmother again. My daughter (who lives just 10 minutes away) is expecting her first child in June. In a few years I’ll be searching our site to find ideas of woodworking ideas for toddlers :)

congrats you old timer….so much has happened to this site and ive only been here going on 2 years…time sure fly’s when your having a wonderful time of it…cant wait to see what happens now in this coming year…...there have been some wonderful projects posted and some wonderful teaching blogs have occurred…its all been great…thanks so much miss debbie for your help and in helping all of us…its like your the mother of the site…here is to your new and upcoming year….grizzman..oh…ps…miss debbie. i just saw my first grand daughter last week….5 weeks old…it was the best time ever…i cant wait to spoil her…maybe i will get you to carve me a pair of shoes for her…now would that be grand….
